Underneath this Amarillo Sky – Jason Aldean

There are very few artists that have staying power. The kind of staying power the shows that their music will be around for years to come. Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Jr and and many others have had this power.

I really think Jason Aldean has this power in Country music. His music speaks to many different people in many different ways. Amarillo Sky talks about the hardships that farmers face each and every day, The Truth speaks of heartache and what one man will do to get over it and She’s Country tells of his love for…well…country ladies.

Talking with Amanda tonight, I asked her why she liked Jason Aldean: His music is so real, so honest. He knows just what to say to make his story come across to so many people.Plus, he is nice to look at…

See!

When Jason Aldean’s first single “Hicktown” hit in 2005 it was a HUGE hit, it played all the time. In 2006 he was nominated and won Best New Male Vocalist at the Academy of Country Music Awards, but that was just the beginning. After playing all the “required” tour stops, and opening for many artists Jason has just finished a tour of his own and is now opening for Brooks and Dunn on their farewell tour.

Jason Aldean has that staying power, and I can’t wait to see what comes from him next!

This post is sponsored by Country Financial’s Road Trips and Guitar Picks Tour. I am being given two tickets to meet Jason Aldean and see him in concert. The opinions and thoughts are all mine.
