Friday night I took Boo to see Taylor Swift in concert. To say that she was excited is an understatement. Boo didn’t sleep well the night before, she kept coming out telling me “I keep thinking about tomorrow…” and this was after she played in her first fastpitch game and was just wiped out.
We had decent seats, upper level at the Xcel Energy Center and right off the stage. We could see everything, and had the jumbo-screens right there too. Boo was very excited to be able to see everything so clearly on those.
She sang all the songs that everyone loves, even the adults were having a good time. Boo only covered her ears one time, and that was when Taylor Swift first came out. Then she got into the screaming of her own, and I covered my ears.
Boo was singing along, have a grand ole’ time until about 9:15…that is when she CRASHED and hard. She kept asking if we were done, she was exhausted. I asked her if she wanted to leave early, and she swore she didn’t was just tired. She sat in her seat or on my lap for the most of the rest of it…until Love Story that is.
That is Boo’s favorite song, and she started jamming right along with everyone else. She was saving it all for this song I think…
All in all, a good concert. Taylor Swift was energetic, involved with the audience and willing to hug, talk too and hold hands with anyone she could reach. She wasn’t afraid to be WITH her fans. Her music is positive, honest and real.
Boo had the best time, and that was the most important thing for me.
