The Do!

I have been debating for a long time about cutting off my hair. I get major headaches from the weight of it, and always ALWAYS wear it in a ponytail. It takes 30 minutes to blow it dry, and I go through so much shampoo. Even with conditioner treatments, it doesn’t always look healthy.

My sister-in-law has a chair at a local salon, and used to do my hair when we lived a bit closer. She had asked me about doing my hair this summer, but I waved it off. I wasn’t ready then. A couple weeks ago, I caved in…

I told her that as long as I could still get it into a ponytail for the days I am running late, or just get to warm, she could have pretty much free reign on my hair. It grows, so it is not the end of the world.

We spent time discussing color, I wanted something close to my natural color and she wanted to play on it. We came to a great decision that involved reds and my natural color. I love how it looks in the light.

The cut was easy: I want bangs that sweep, layers to lighten it up even more, but I will NOT deal with clippers coming at my head. Plus, the ponytail thing was discussed.

Here is a before:

And the after:

I LOVE it!! The color is great, and cut is super easy. I think in all we took off almost 6 inches or so…
The layers make it even easier to do many things with it. My sister-in-law did an amazing job! I can’t wait to show my co-workers, Big Sis and my mom! They are going to flip!

(Thanks to my Boo for taking pictures…she has some great skills! lol)
