21 Day Complaint Free Challenge

Yesterday in our monthly sales meeting, our VP told us about his goal of making it 21 days complaint free. He had just finished reading this book and was amazed. He has been working on this, and it has made a huge impact on his life at work and home. His wife has even noticed a change, and now that he has told us, we have noticed as well.

So he challenged us to go 21 days complaint free. That means you work to go one day at a time complaint free. Every time you complaint, gossip or criticizing you move your bracelet from one are to the other. When you hear someone else complain, you can point it out, but you first must move your bracelet from one arm to the other. Lives have been changed by this, and the pastor that created this method has been on The Today Show, and Oprah talking about this, and how it has changed lives.

So I am wearing my bracelet, during the worst time of year at work. I am working hard to curb my complaining, but have had to change the arm…a lot. I had a rough time.

However, there are things to remember
“Complaining is not to be confused with informing someone of a mistake or deficiency so that it can be put right. And to refrain from complaining doesn’t necessarily mean putting up with bad quality or behavior. There is no ego in telling the waiter your soup is cold and needs to be heated up—if you stick to the facts, which are always neutral. ‘How dare you serve me cold soup…?’ That’s complaining.”—Eckhart Tolle, “A New Earth”

Can you take the challenge?
